Up to 60,000 lbs of Towing for Any Industry
Tiger Gas tow tractors have a 100% steel body-on-frame design with bolt-on chassis components, and run on ICE propulsion combining the durability, serviceability and familiarity that crews depend on across aviation, manufacturing, ports, warehouses and more. Tiger is available in gasoline, LPG and export diesel configurations — giving operations the flexibility to match their existing fuel infrastructure and regional requirements. Thanks to its minimal emissions, LPG is a popular choice for indoor environments such as hangars, warehouses and manufacturing facilities where air quality standards must be maintained.
Additionally, when you’re ready to go electric, easily convert your Tiger Gas ICE powertrain to lithium-ion electric with our Tiger Repower kit. The Tiger Gas and Tiger Li-Ion share the same chassis, controls and operator experience so switching is straightforward, on your timeline.

Tiger Gas & LPG Tow Tractor FAQ
Common questions from operators, fleet managers and procurement teams evaluating Tiger Gas, LPG and Export Diesel tow tractors.
Have a question not answered here? Contact our Tiger specialists.
How much can the Tiger Gas tow tractor tow?
The Tiger Gas is rated to tow up to 60,000 lbs. via hitch — the same heavy-duty tow rating as the Tiger Li-Ion electric model. Because it’s powered by a Kubota engine through a 14:1 transmission with a planetary triple reduction axle, the Tiger Gas delivers the sustained low-end torque that aviation GSE, port operations, manufacturing and warehouse applications demand.
What is the difference between the Tiger Gas and Tiger LPG models?
Both models share the same 100% steel chassis, Kubota powertrain, tow rating and operator controls. The difference is fuel type: the gas model runs on standard gasoline whereas the LPG model runs on liquid propane. LPG is often preferred in enclosed facilities including warehouses, manufacturing plants and indoor GSE operations because propane combustion produces lower levels of carbon monoxide compared to gasoline, reducing fume buildup in poorly ventilated spaces. Both models use the same common industry service parts and carry a 2-year, 2,000-hour engine warranty.
What industries and applications is the Tiger Gas tow tractor designed for?
Tiger Gas tow tractors are purpose-built for any heavy-duty towing application that requires a proven, combustion-powered platform. Primary applications include airport ramp and GSE operations, cargo and baggage towing, manufacturing and warehousing material handling, port and container yard towing, maritime and boat yard operations, bus yard vehicle movement and resort or theme park tram towing. Additionally, the Tiger Gas model is available in export diesel for international deployments where LPG infrastructure is limited. As a result, if your application does not require zero-emission operation, the Tiger Gas delivers the same towing performance as the Li-Ion at a lower acquisition cost.
Do operators need special training to run the Tiger Gas tow tractor?
No. Tiger Gas is designed to be immediately familiar to any operator trained on competitive combustion tow tractors in the GSE industry. For example, controls, seating, hitching and daily operating procedures are consistent across the entire Tiger lineup and deliberately match common industry standards. Furthermore, service technicians work with common off-the-shelf wear parts, eliminating proprietary sourcing delays. Lastly, the on-board fault code display keep troubleshooting straightforward without specialized equipment.
Can I convert a Tiger Gas tow tractor to electric in the future?
Yes, and it is designed for that path. Because the Tiger Gas and Tiger Li-Ion are built on the same chassis platform with the same operator controls, converting to electric is straightforward when your operation is ready. The Tiger Repower Kit installs a complete lithium-ion drivetrain into a compatible existing Tiger gas tow tractor within a day.
Tiger Li-Ion
Ready to Electrify your Fleet?
The Tiger Li-Ion delivers the same rugged steel chassis, 60,000-lb. tow rating and familiar operator controls as the Tiger Gas — with zero tailpipe emissions, 78% less maintenance and more than $11,000 in annual savings per unit. Backed by a 5-year, 5,000-hour battery warranty.
