Manufacturing, Warehousing & Distribution
Move the Heavy Loads That Keep Plants and Distribution Centers Running
Tiger tow tractors handle the high-cycle, heavy-load towing that manufacturing plants, distribution centers and warehouse operations run on. Including moving trailer trains on production floors, spotting trailers at loading docks, towing cart trains between assembly cells and relocating heavy equipment across facilities. With a 60,000-lb. tow rating and a 100% steel chassis built for daily industrial use, the Tiger Li-Ion and Tiger Gas deliver the capacity and durability that industrial operations demand, in a package nimble enough to operate in plant aisles and dock areas.

INDOOR MANUFACTURING & WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
Zero-Emission Towing for Plant Floors, Assembly Lines and Distribution Centers
Inside manufacturing facilities and distribution centers, Tiger Li-Ion and Tiger LPG keep operations moving without the ventilation concerns that come with indoor combustion equipment. Tiger Li-Ion moves trailer trains between production cells, tows loaded carts along assembly lines and repositions heavy tooling during changeovers with zero tailpipe emissions. Programmable speed controls allow plant safety managers to set zone-specific limits without purchasing different units for different areas. Operator presence sensing and brake interlock provide additional compliance support for plant safety programs.
Where facilities already run on LPG infrastructure, Tiger LPG delivers the same 60,000-lb. tow capacity with minimal emissions — a practical choice for semi-enclosed areas and operations transitioning toward full electrification.
OUTDOOR YARD & DOCK OPERATIONS
Trailer Spotting, Cross-Dock Moves and Yard Logistics
For outdoor yard operations, loading docks and high-cycle trailer spotting, Tiger Gas delivers the same 60,000-lb. tow capacity without requiring shore power or charging infrastructure. Tiger Gas supports cross-dock operations, moves loaded pallet trains between buildings and handles the heavy yard work that runs around the clock at distribution centers and manufacturing campuses. For facilities running existing propane infrastructure, Tiger LPG bridges indoor and outdoor operations across the same site.
Tiger Tow Tractors Work in Industrial Operations
From plant floor to distribution yard — six applications where Tiger delivers.
Automotive Manufacturing
Moving subassemblies, stamped parts, powertrain components and tooling between press shops, body shops, paint lines and final assembly. High-cycle, zero-emission operation in areas where combustion equipment is restricted.
E-Commerce Fulfillment
High-velocity trailer spotting, cart train movement and dock-to-rack logistics in large-format fulfillment centers where uptime and quick turn cycles directly affect order throughput. Tiger Li-Ion’s opportunity charging keeps units in service without rotation gaps.
Food & Beverage Processing
Zero-emission indoor operation in temperature-controlled manufacturing and cold storage environments where propane and gas exhaust create compliance problems. Tiger Li-Ion meets OSHA indoor air quality requirements without ventilation upgrades.
Heavy Equipment Assembly
Towing large equipment assemblies, positioning chassis components on assembly jigs and moving finished equipment to staging yards. Tiger’s 60,000-lb. capacity handles heavy assembly loads without requiring a separate, larger tow vehicle.
Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
Multi-client distribution operations with varying load types, seasonal peaks and facilities that range from ambient to refrigerated. Tiger’s serviceable design, common parts and dealer network support operations across multiple sites.
General Industrial & Facilities
Moving maintenance equipment, towing heavy tooling, repositioning plant infrastructure and supporting facility operations in industrial environments where a compact, capable tow vehicle serves multiple departments.
Manufacturing & Distribution Tow Tractor FAQ
Common questions from facilities, supply chain, operations and procurement teams evaluating Tiger tow tractors for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution applications.

Is the Tiger Li-Ion approved for indoor manufacturing and warehouse use?
Yes. The Tiger Li-Ion produces zero tailpipe emissions making it suitable for indoor manufacturing plants, temperature-controlled distribution centers and enclosed warehouse environments where propane and gas-powered equipment must comply with OSHA indoor air quality standards. There is no propane exchange program to manage, no exhaust ventilation requirement and no carbon monoxide risk. The battery system is heated and insulated for operation in cold-storage and refrigerated warehouse environments rated as low as minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Can the Tiger tow tractor be used for trailer spotting at loading docks?
Yes. The Tiger Li-Ion and Tiger Gas are both used for trailer spotting at loading docks in distribution centers, food processing plants and manufacturing facilities. The 60,000-lb. tow capacity handles standard 53-foot trailers. The compact vehicle footprint — 113 x 55.5 x 61 in. — allows operation in standard dock bays without the wide-swing clearance requirements of larger yard spotters. For high-volume dock operations, the Tiger Li-Ion’s opportunity charging capability allows units to top off during driver breaks and shift transitions without requiring a separate charging bay.
How does Tiger Li-Ion charging work in a manufacturing or distribution facility?
The Tiger Li-Ion uses a standard on-board 6.6 kW J1772 charger compatible with NEMA 14-30, 14-50 and 6-50 receptacles — the same 240V outlet formats found in most manufacturing and distribution facilities. A full charge takes six to seven hours, making overnight charging between shifts the standard approach. For facilities running continuous operations, the Tiger Li-Ion supports DC fast charging through ACT Quantum, Minit Charger and PosiCharge-compatible chargers, delivering a full charge in two to three hours. The Tiger Li-Ion also supports opportunity charging — plugging in during breaks and shift changes to maintain charge without removing the unit from rotation.
Can Tiger tow tractors operate alongside smaller cart tugs and utility vehicles in the same facility?
Yes, and this is a common deployment pattern. Tiger handles heavy-duty tow applications rated above 16,000 lbs. For lighter towing applications, the Taylor-Dunn lineup includes Bigfoot utility vehicles and sit-down tow tractors. For facilities that also need utility carts, personnel transport or maintenance vehicles, GEM electric vehicles and Fusion commercial electric carts complement Tiger and Taylor-Dunn in the same facility without competing for the same workload. Tiger, Taylor-Dunn, GEM and Fusion are all brands from Waev Inc.
What annual cost savings can a manufacturing plant expect switching from a gas tow tractor to Tiger Li-Ion?
Based on typical fleet operator data, replacing a single combustion tow tractor with a Tiger Li-Ion saves more than $11,000 per unit annually. Fuel and electricity cost differential accounts for approximately $2,847 in savings. Maintenance cost reduction — 78% less than combustion tractor maintenance — accounts for approximately $19,325 in savings. Actual savings vary by facility shift patterns, fuel prices and existing maintenance contract structure. Tiger Li-Ion also carries a 5-year/5,000-hour battery warranty, reducing battery replacement risk over the asset lifecycle.
